The peacock
Origin / Territory : Arrived in Europe over 4000 years ago via Mesopotamia (Asia).
Brooding : Brooding lasts around 28 days with an average of 4 to 5 peachicks per brood.
Food : Omnivores (mainly seeds, vegetables and insects).
Description : The males are characterised by a large tail. They are known for their colourful plumage and beautiful ornamental feathers.
